Nathan L. V. Bischoff

Nathan Bischoff is a multidisciplinary artist who works in video production, written works/poetry, performance, digital and traditional illustration, and digital collage. he was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he graduated from Herron High School in 2020, and from Indiana University Bloomington in 2024. he obtained a BA in Studio Art, as well as having a focus in creative writing and poetry.

Nathan has worked on his artistic practice ever since he was very young. in middle school, he took to drawing lots of original characters, creating electronic music with his cousin, and beginning his journey in poetry. once he entered high school, he trained traditionally in painting, figure drawing, and sculpture, and began his personal practice in digital illustration. in college, he discovered a love of video production and performance when studying contemporary art history. his performance pieces utilize props, the human body, installation, glitch, and archival footage.

he is often exploring themes of gender expression, sexuality, and play for the sake of play, along with the adolescence, complexities, and evolution of these things.
